Jewish school attendance rising

The number of children in European Jewish schools is steadily increasing according to recent figures, which show that the Jewish school has never been more popular than today.

A recent report produced by the British Institute for Jewish Policy Research noted that, “since 1950, while the UK Jewish population has declined by over 25%, the number of children in Jewish schools has increased by around 500%”. (full article on "European Jewish Press").
In this context it is sad to tell, that the Jewish elementary school of Dusseldorf (Yitzchak-Rabin-School) is near it’s closing: The Jewish community cannot afford the high security-costs - of course not a field to save expenses. Without a major sponsor the school has to be closed.
